During the first week of December, the European Commission hosted a meeting of the Global Health Security Initiative (GHSI) and the Global Health Security Action Group (GHSAG). An overview poster of the PANFLUVAC project on this occasion.

A poster presentation of the project was given at the Retroscreen Virology Conference: “Medical, Scientific and Historical Lessons from the Great Avian (H1N1) "Spanish" Influenza Pandemic of 1918:The 90th Anniversary”. 10th November 2008 at the Imperial War Museum - London

PANFLUVAC partners attended the Third European Influenza Conference, which will take place in Vilamoura, Portugal, 14-17 September 2008, which is the largest European scientific conference entirely devoted to influenza. The Third European Influenza Conference provided comprehensive scientific coverage of all disciplines involved in influenza prevention, control and treatment.

PANFLUVAC results were presented by the coordinator team at the 10th International Symposium on Dendritic Cells (DC2008) held in October 1st to the 5th, 2008 at International Conference Center in Kobe, Japan. With more than 40 world-famous distinguished guest speakers, DC2008 provided every participant for an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas.

The Health Protection Agency organised a three day course on serology for H5 for a small number of people. This course took place from the 10th to the 12th of June 2008. For any further information on this course please contact the coordinator of the PANFLUVAC project.
